Here are a couple of crap photos from my weekend with my old friend Robert. I know him from back in the old days of cycling around MA. Like me, he has traded the cold and dark of New England for the comfort of the south. Despite the fact that these pictures are so bad, the area was absolutely beautiful. It was some of the best riding I have ever seen. We rode the route in two parts because a.m. lighting forced us to stop until the afternoon. The route that we did was part of the Mountains of Misery and the end of Stage 6 of the 1996 Tour DuPont. As if all this wasn't enough, the top of the major climb ends at the Mountian Lake Hotel where Dirty Dancing was filmed. Remember, "Nobody puts Baby in the corner."
